Position Overview
This is a Top 10% paying anesthesia assignment (2025 market data) offering over $18,000 per week with a strong OB component in a community-based hospital setting.
You’ll work a consistent Monday–Friday 7a–5p schedule, with additional opportunities for OB night float and weekend coverage, plus optional back-up call. The role allows you to either run your own cases or supervise CRNAs, with a clean case mix that excludes cardiac, transplant, and complex pediatrics.
Coverage expectation:
- Minimum: 2 full weeks/month
- Preferred: Full-time (4–5 shifts/week for the full month)

Assignment Highlights
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Monthly Expectation: Minimum 2 weeks/month; preference full-time
- Call / Additional Coverage:
- OB Night Float: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Sun–Thurs)
- Weekend OB: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Fri–Sun)
- Back-Up Call (Pager): 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Practice Model: Care team (approx. 4:1) + own cases
- Facility Type: Acute Care | Level IV Trauma
Job Responsibilities
- Provide scheduled anesthesiology coverage for OR and OB cases
- Participate in OB night float and weekend coverage as needed
- Provide back-up call coverage for OR cases when OB coverage is occupied
- Perform own anesthetic cases as needed
- Supervise CRNAs within care team model
- Perform regional anesthesia
- Provide OB anesthesia starts (CRNAs continue care)
- Collaborate with surgical, OB, and perioperative teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation

- OB Volume: ~1,200 deliveries/year

- Support: 4:1 CRNA supervision model
- Minimum Experience: 1+ year post-residency
Skills & Experience
- Comfortable with both independent and supervisory roles
- OB anesthesia experience strongly preferred
- Experience with regional anesthesia
- Strong general anesthesia skill set
- Ability to function in a community hospital setting
- Flexible to support system-wide needs if required
