Job Title: Locum Physician – Anesthesiology
Location: Lewisburg, PA
Start Date: 05/10/2026
Contract Length: Ongoing
Practice Setting: Hospital
Coverage Needed: 3–4 FTE
Schedule & Shift Details:
- Day Shifts: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week
- Call: 16-hour call shifts
- Weekday Call Requirement: Must be able to take call from 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM when needed
Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a Locum Anesthesiologist to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across a variety of surgical and procedural settings in Lewisburg, PA. Providers will work in a collaborative environment with CRNAs and surgical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide anesthesia services across multiple specialties
Supervise CRNAs in a 1:3 care team model
Deliver safe and effective anesthesia care for patients of all ages
Participate in call coverage as required
Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
Qualifications
Hospital Bed Size: 135 beds
Patient Population: All ages
EMR: EPIC
Care Model: 1:3 Anesthesiologist to CRNA/room ratio
Case Mix Includes:
Vascular
OB/GYN
General Surgery
GI
Pediatrics
Plastics
Orthopedics
Robotics
Urology
Skills Required:
Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC)
Regional anesthesia
Spinal anesthesia
Ultrasound-guided techniques
Working Hours
Board Certification: BC/BE in Anesthesiology
Licensure: Active PA license required
Certifications: ACLS, PALS required
DEA: Not required
Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred
Credentialing: ~90 days; temporary privileges available with clean file
