Physician - Anesthesiology in Virginia

Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: Night Float (in-house) 7p-7a; Overtime Expected
• Job Setting: Hospital; 20 Anesthesia Rooms
• Types of Cases: General, OB, Neuro, Ortho
• Credentialing: 90 days estimated privileging timeframe; Temporary privileges available (30-60 days)
• Responsibilities: Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department; Responsible for medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures; Pre-anesthesia assessment; Obtains and/or verifies patient consent; Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient; Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia; Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition; Performance of clinical intervention as needed; Supervising CRNAs at 1:4 ratio; Doing own cases

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certification Required
• Certifications: M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine; ECFMG and FLEX; Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia
• Licensure: Currently licensed as a Physician; Active VA state license required
