- Other Details: We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible anesthesiologist with at least 2 years of recent experience in both outpatient and high-acuity inpatient surgical cases, ideally at tertiary care centers, to provide flexible OR coverage across multiple sites. Providers must be able to float between facilities, covering adults and adolescents 13 years and older for general surgical procedures, with occasional regional anesthesia cases, and must be comfortable working predominantly solo in the operating room, occasionally supervising CRNAs. Recent experience working independently is required, and regional anesthesia skills are strongly preferred but not mandatory. No fixed shifts are required, and providers can work 4–5 days per week, typically 8–10 hours per shift, ensuring a minimum of 40 hours per week. Requirements include a valid California medical license, DEA with Schedule 2/2N, BLS and ACLS certifications, and the ability to provide at least two weeks of coverage per month. Providers must have recent experience with high-acuity patients (ASA 3+) and should provide two professional references prior to consideration. Cardiac, liver, and neuro cases are excluded.

Job Responsibilities
* Float between multiple sites to cover general surgical procedures, with occasional regional anesthesia cases

* Ensure safe perioperative management for high-acuity patients (ASA 3+)
* Collaborate with surgical teams across different facilities while maintaining independent decision-making
* Maintain documentation and follow institutional protocols
Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of recent anesthesiology experience, preferably at tertiary care centers
* Valid California medical license and DEA with Schedule 2/2N
* BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
* Recent experience working independently in the OR
* Must provide two professional references
Working Hours
* Providers must be able to provide at least 2 weeks of coverage per month
* No fixed shift requirements, minimum 40 hours per week guaranteed
Skills
* Experience with high-acuity cases (ASA 3+)
* Regional anesthesia skills strongly preferred
* Ability to work independently and manage intraoperative decision-making
* Supervisory skills for occasional oversight of CRNAs
