Clinical Role

• Locum tenens opportunity

• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible anesthesiologist

• Full-time day shift coverage available

• Monday–Friday schedule, typically 6:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

• Client is open to candidates who prefer a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule

• Some late shifts expected (until 5:30 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.)

Call Requirements

• Must be willing to take call shifts

• Increasing need for overnight in-house call coverage

• Up to six 12-hour overnight in-house call shifts per month

• Please indicate willingness to take call when presenting candidates

Practice Details

• 380-bed hospital

• Level III Trauma Center

• Diverse anesthesiology practice covering a broad range of adult subspecialty cases

• Combination of supervising and hands-on clinical responsibilities

• Candidate will work independently at times

Case Mix

• Must be comfortable with General, OB, and Pediatric cases

• Adult cases: approximately 90%

• Pediatric cases: approximately 10%

• Typical cases include:

  • General surgery

  • GI

  • Basic pediatrics

  • Neuro

  • OB/GYN

  • Trauma (Level III)

  • Orthopedics

  • Urology

Department Overview

• 12 operating rooms and 15–16 anesthetizing locations

• 21 CRNAs and 8 anesthesiologists currently in the practice

• APP and mid-level coverage available

• Intensivists manage codes

• 24/7 intensivist and neurology support

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible anesthesiologist

• Active Pennsylvania license highly preferred or IMLC eligibility accepted

• DEA required

• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required

• Minimum of one year of experience preferred

• EMR: Cerner
