Anesthesiologist Needed in the Greater St. Louis Metro Region of Illinois
Start Date: April 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks (ongoing)
Schedule
Day shift: 8-hour shifts
Monday–Friday
No call
Standard OR scheduling
Practice Details
Acute care hospital environment
Care team model with MD supervision of CRNAs
MDs supervise and perform their own cases
CRNA-to-MD ratio approximately 2:1
Multiple ORs running daily across general, ortho, and OB service lines
EMR: iPro and Epic
Clinical Scope
Case responsibilities include:
General surgery
Orthopedics
OB
Pre-op evaluations and anesthesia planning
Full-scope intra-operative anesthesia
Airway management and continuous monitoring
Post-anesthesia recovery management
Collaboration with surgeons, CRNAs, and perioperative staff
Requirements
Physician – Anesthesiology
Board Certified
Active Illinois medical license required (no licensing offered)
DEA required
Ability to supervise CRNAs while also performing own cases
Experience across general, ortho, and OB anesthesia
Provider home address must be 60+ miles away from the facility
Credentialing
Standard hospital credentialing
Estimated timeframe: ~60 days
Full onboarding required
Location
Greater St. Louis metro region — hospital setting in an adjacent Illinois community.
