A leading health system in Jackson, Michigan is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist with fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine to join a collaborative ICU and surgical team. This position blends Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) coverage with comprehensive anesthesia services, offering a dynamic mix of high-acuity critical care and operating room responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities
• Supervise and collaborate with APPs managing complex post-operative cardiac and vascular patients, including TAVR cases
• Deliver comprehensive anesthesia services during non-ICU weeks (general OR, obstetric anesthesia, healthy pediatric cases)
• Share OR call responsibilities proportionally based on ICU coverage
• Participate in multidisciplinary care coordination and clinical decision-making
• Contribute to protocol development and quality improvement initiatives
• Engage in teaching and mentoring residents and APPs
• Utilize EPIC EMR for integrated documentation
• Maintain active certification and credentialing requirements
Qualifications
• Fellowship-trained in Critical Care Medicine (required)
• Michigan medical license (or willing to obtain)
• DEA and CSR/CDS (required prior to start)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS (required prior to start)
• Clean malpractice and license history
• Active NPDB self-query report
• Current COVID and flu vaccination compliance
• Open to H1B and J1 visa candidates
• Must be available to start ASAP
• Not open to locum or alternate shift arrangements
Working Hours
• 8–12 weeks annually in CVICU (with home call)
• Remaining weeks include general OR coverage, OB anesthesia, and pediatric anesthesia
• Shared call schedule based on ICU coverage
