• Job Title: Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist – General Nocturnist
• Location: Virginia Beach, VA (Virginia anesthesiology jobs)
• Facility: 273-bed Level III Trauma Center
• Assignment Dates: January 5, 2026 – July 18, 2026
• Shifts per Week: 5
• Shift Duration: 8-hour night shifts (10- and 12-hour shifts available)
• Total Hours: 36 per week
• Call: Weeknight and/or weekend pager call (1:07 rotation)

Qualifications – Anesthesiologist Job Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited anesthesiology residency program
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Anesthesiology
• Active, unrestricted medical license (Virginia preferred for Virginia Beach healthcare jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical anesthesia experience
• Experience in adult anesthesia required; pediatric anesthesia experience preferred
• Proficiency in general, spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia procedures
• Ability to manage complex vascular (excluding open heart), orthopedic, obstetrical, and spine cases
• Expertise in ventilation management and central/arterial line insertion
• Willingness to participate in pager call rotation

Responsibilities – Clinical Anesthesiology Jobs

• Provide high-quality anesthesia care for adult and pediatric patients
• Perform spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia procedures
• Deliver anesthesia for general, obstetrical, neurosurgical (spine), complex vascular (excluding open heart), and orthopedic cases
• Support cardiac cath lab and electrophysiology (EP) lab procedures
• Manage ventilation and perform central and arterial line insertions
• Participate in weeknight and weekend pager call coverage (1:07 rotation)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a busy trauma center
