Anesthesiologist Needed in Northeastern Connecticut
Start Date: April 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)
Schedule
Day shift: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM (8- or 10-hour shifts available)
Weeknight beeper call required
Weekend beeper call required
6–10 call shifts per month
Overtime possible
CRNAs take second call; low callback rate
Practice Details
Acute care community hospital
Staffing model: MD supervision of CRNAs (approx. 1:3–4 ratio)
5 operating rooms
MDs both supervise and perform own cases
Charting: iPro and paper
Clinical Scope
Case types include:
General
Orthopedics
OB
Colorectal
Cataracts
Cystoscopy
ENT
GYN
Podiatry
Thoracic
GI
Pacemakers
TEE
Cardioversion
Mix of supervision and hands-on cases
Requirements
Physician – Anesthesiology
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Active Connecticut license preferred (willing to license)
DEA required
Open to candidates with community hospital experience
Credentialing
Estimated timeframe: 30–60 days with active state license; longer if licensing needed
Full hospital onboarding required
Location
Northeastern Connecticut — community setting within driving distance to Hartford, Providence, and Boston.
