Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: 8 or 10 hour shifts, regular days start at 7 AM and usually wrap up around 3 pm. Weeknight on-call (pager) required. Weekend on-call (pager) required. Call taking providers are priority - 6-10 call shifts per month. Call back rate is less than 10%.
- Job Setting: small community hospital in the quiet corner of northeast CT, in close proximity to the beautiful New England coastal lines, 40 minutes drive to Hartford, CT and Providence, RI, one hour to Boston and three hours to NYC. 5 anesthesia rooms. 3/4 CRNA to MD ratio. MDs supervising CRNAs and doing their own cases. Friendly environment and supportive team. Charting system: iPro and paper and pen.
- Types of Cases: General, Ortho, OB, colorectal, cataracts, cystoscopy, ENT, GYN, podiatry, thoracic, GI, pacemakers, TEE, cardioversion
- Credentialing: 30-60 days if CT license is in hand. 60-120 days if no CT license.
- Duration: 13 weeks or more
- Incentives: $30k one-time completion bonus (520 hours worked within 17 consecutive weeks). Call bonus - Weekends: $3K when covering two weekend days per month ($1,500 per call). Weekdays: $750/call when covering 4 or more weekday calls within a month. Lodging/Housing Stipend - $110/daily. Car Rental/Mileage Stipend - $250/weekly.
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Open to Board Eligible candidates
- Certifications: M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine. ECFMG and FLEX. Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia.
- Licensure: Currently licensed as a Physician. Willing to accept candidates that need to obtain CT state license.
