Join a leading healthcare facility as an Anesthesiologist specializing in general anesthesia procedures. You will provide vital support in an acute care hospital setting, collaborating with a comprehensive team to ensure the delivery of safe anesthesia care. This position requires a commitment of at least two weeks per month with the opportunity for full-time, 10-hour weekday coverage, along with in-house call weekend days/nights and weekday nights. No cardiac cases required.

Key Details - Assignment Type: Locum Tenens - Setting: Hospital - Start Date: 5/4/2026 - Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with necessary in-house call on nights and weekends) - Patient Population: All Ages (1 year upwards) - Location: West Reading, PA - Stipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates

Job Responsibilities - Administer general anesthesia and manage anesthesia care in various surgical procedures excluding cardiac surgery - Perform regional, spinal, epidural, and trauma anesthetic techniques - Conduct post-operative pain management including epidural and extremity blocks - Supervise and collaborate with CRNAs and other support staff

Qualifications - Board Certified in Anesthesiology - ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required - Clean malpractice and NPDB record - Proficient with EMR systems, specifically EPIC

Working Hours - Regular shift: 10-hour days, Monday–Friday - In-house coverage required for nights and weekends - Overtime applicable after 50 hours per week

Skills - Expertise in managing complex orthopedic, vascular, neuro, and thoracic cases - Skilled in ventilation management and evaluation of acute volume/BP issues - Experience with central line, arterial line, and PA catheter placements - Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced trauma level 1 environment
