Anesthesiologist Needed in Central Pennsylvania Region
Start Date: April 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks; potential ongoing need
Schedule
Day shifts: 8-hour (7a–3p), 10-hour (7a–5p), or 24-hour (7a–7a)
Weekday call Monday–Thursday (no Friday call)
Two weeks per month
Call taken from home; shared equally
Monday–Friday daytime coverage
Practice Details
Acute care hospital
13 ORs, 1 hybrid OR, 2 cath labs
20 CRNAs with 24-hour in-house CRNA coverage
Physicians provide 100% medical direction
Supervision required in OR and ASC
ASC + endoscopy center onsite
EMR: Epic
Case Mix Includes:
Bariatric
Breast
General surgery
Orthopedics (heavy service)
Plastics
OB/GYN
Endoscopy
Not Included:
No trauma
No neurosurgery
No cardiac surgery
Additional Details:
Regional anesthesia required (ultrasound-guided)
Epidural coverage required
~600 surgical cases/month + ~40 endoscopy cases/month
~700 deliveries/year
Patient ages: 12 months and older

Regional anesthesia
General anesthesia
Orthopedic anesthesia
OB anesthesia (epidurals, dedicated OB OR)
ASC + endoscopy anesthesia
Broad age coverage except infants
Requirements
Physician – Anesthesiology
Board Certified
Active Pennsylvania license (IMLC accepted)
DEA + Pennsylvania CSR
BLS, ACLS, PALS required
Epic experience preferred
Must work weekends and holidays
Comfortable supervising CRNAs/students
Strong regional anesthesia experience required
Credentialing
Approx. 60–90 days
Location
Located in the Central Pennsylvania Susquehanna Valley region — multisite surgical environment with a strong regional anesthesia focus, ASC + OR coverage, and weekday call structure.
