Anesthesiologist Needed in Central Pennsylvania Region
Start Date: April 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks; potential ongoing need
Schedule
Day shifts: 12-hour shifts (approx. 7:00 AM–7:00 PM; flexible)
Weekend and holiday coverage required
Call: Taken from home; schedule TBD
Coverage needs vary by month
Practice Details
Acute care hospital
131 beds
13 ORs + hybrid OR + cath labs
Ambulatory surgery center and endoscopy center onsite
20 CRNAs
Supervision of CRNAs/students required
EMR: Epic
Bread-and-butter anesthesiology with heavy regional anesthesia component
Diverse case mix including:
Bariatric
Breast
General surgery
Orthopedics
Plastics
OB/GYN
Endoscopy
No trauma, neurosurgery, or cardiac surgery
Epidural coverage required
Patient population: pediatrics through geriatrics (no infants or critically ill children)
Clinical Scope
Regional anesthesia (ultrasound-guided; required)
General anesthesia
Orthopedic anesthesia (heavy volume)
OB anesthesia (epidurals; dedicated OB OR)
ASC and endoscopy anesthesia
Full age range except infants
Case volume varies by service
Requirements
Physician – Anesthesiology
Board Certified
Active Pennsylvania license (IMLC accepted; not willing to license)
DEA + Pennsylvania CSR
BLS, ACLS, PALS required
Epic experience preferred
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Must be comfortable supervising CRNAs/students
Must be experienced in regional anesthesia
Credentialing
Approx. 90–120 days
Location
Located in the Central Pennsylvania Susquehanna Valley region — hospital-based anesthesia practice with diverse case types, regional anesthesia focus, and required weekend/holiday coverage.
