- Start Date: 02/02/2026
- Contract Duration: 26 weeks (through 08/01/2026), with potential to extend
- Schedule: 4 shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 10-hour days (40 hours/week)
- Call: Solo call 5:00p–7:00a weeknights; 24-hour call weekends (Saturday & Sunday)
- EMR: Epic
- Facility Snapshot: On-site hospital setting; ~110 beds; ~4,900 cases/year; typically 4–6 ORs/day
- Case Mix: General, ortho, GYN, GI (no trauma, no OB)
- Care Team Model: Typically 1 MD with 4–6 CRNAs (Mon–Fri) plus MD call coverage nights/weekends; ~85% supervision / 15% own cases
Job Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent anesthesiology experience (1–2 years preferred)
- Clinical Skills: Comfortable with a broad general anesthesia case mix, perioperative assessments, PACU support, and regional techniques/blocks as needed
- Practice Readiness: Ability to work independently during call and collaborate effectively within a CRNA care-team model
- Credentialing: Ability to meet hospital credentialing and privileging requirements
Responsibilities (Anesthesiologist / Physician)
- Provide anesthesia care for scheduled and urgent cases across general surgery, orthopedics, GYN, and GI services
- Perform pre-operative evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia plans
- Provide PACU support and post-anesthesia evaluations, including pain management
- Supervise CRNAs in a care-team model while also managing assigned personal cases
- Perform and/or oversee regional anesthesia and nerve blocks as clinically indicated
- Support daytime float/break coverage to maintain efficient OR flow
- Provide solo after-hours call coverage per the established schedule
- Document care accurately and timely in Epic
