Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Term: 1-year contract with option for five additional 1-year renewals

Credentialing: Start upon completion of VetPro and hospital credentialing

Coverage: Required to support a 24/7/365 anesthesia service

Clinic: Five 8-hour clinic days per week
🩺 Clinical Responsibilities
The Surgery Department provides continuous anesthesia care, and this role is essential to maintaining timely, safe, and effective services for Veterans.
Daytime Coverage

Up to two anesthesiologists on duty daily

Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
After-Hours & Call

After 3:30 p.m., one anesthesiologist transitions to call coverage until 7:00 a.m.

On-call physician must:

Be available by phone within 15 minutes

Be on-site within 60 minutes

Provide consultation support to VA residents and physicians

This coverage is required year-round, supporting the department’s mission to deliver uninterrupted anesthesia care.
