Coverage Needed
- Start Date: April 13, 2026
- End Date: December 31, 2026
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
- In-person orientation required within 2 weeks before the start date on a business day
- No night call or weekend call
- Open Dates:
- April: 13–17, 27–May 1
- May: 11–15, 18–22, 26–29
- June: 1–5, 8–12, 15–19, 22–26, 29–July 3
- July: 6–10, 13–17, 20–24, 27–31
- August: 3–7, 17–21, 31–Sept 4
- September: 14–18, 21–25
- October: 5–9, 12–16, 19–23
- November: 9–13, 23–25
- December: 7–11, 14–18, 21–23, 28–31
Clinical Details
- Practice consists of General Anesthesia, OB, Vascular Surgery, Cath Lab, Healthy Pediatrics (down to 6 months of age), Occasional NORA, Basic Nerve Blocks
- No CRNA supervision
- Required Cases: Healthy pediatrics down to 6 months of age; major vascular/interventional vascular including AAA repair; cardiac cath lab cases (electrophysiology and structural heart procedures, excluding TEE interpretation); OB including spinal and epidural anesthesia; trauma; regional anesthesia/peripheral nerve blocks; placement of central venous and arterial catheters; difficult intubation
- Pediatric Cases: Pediatric ENT with the occasional urological and orthopedic case
- Patients (Peds) per Day: 0-2 pediatric cases per day
- OB Volume: Occasionally will be called to do a labor epidural and/or c-section; maybe once or twice a week but never more than four to five times a week
- Cardiac Details: The cath lab cases are both ablations and angioplasty/stents, as well as ICDs, EP studies, and atrial appendage occlusion devices; primarily need interscalene blocks with occasional popliteal and supraclavicular blocks
Requirements
- Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible (Certification must be obtained within 5 years of residency)
- Minimum Experience: More than 2 years
- Flu & Covid Vaccination: Required or need medical or religious exemption
- Certifications: ACLS (required if requesting conscious sedation privileges), BLS
- Active IN license
- Clean background and no NPDB concerns
- Available to cover at least 6-8+ weeks of dates listed
