**IMPORTANT DETAIL: We have a 75-mile radius restriction for this opening. We are not able to accept presentations for clinicians who live within 75 miles of the site.
** Providers will be expected to cross credential at 3 facilities
Facility 1- 8ORS, 3 endo suites 2 CV ORS, 3 CATH labs 1 IR
Facility 2- 6ORS, 2 Endo Suite, Cath Lab
Facility 3- 4ORS
**Clinician Requirements: License: Must have Active FL License
Type of cases: Cardiac, Ortho, Neuro, Gen surg, GI, Cathlab, Urology, Vascular, TEE, CV
MDs do ultrasounds and blocks
20% of time will be spent personally providing anesthesia care
Supervised
Credentialing Expectations:
• Anticipated Start Date -based on presentation and application being processed within the next 30 days
• Typical Timeframe: 60-90 days
• Temp Privs Available?: Yes- Based on clinicians’ availability/ case by case basis.
PD Details:
• The site generally provides 3–5 days of orientation for new anesthesiologists, contingent on staffing availability.
• This is a 100% QZ practice with no medical direction of CRNAs. Anesthesiologists perform their own cases after 7:00 pm on weekdays and 24/7 on weekends. On weekends, there is an option to call in CRNAs to assist with coverage at two locations between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm.
• This is a hospital-based practice with no trauma, OB, or pediatric cases. Facility is a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and anesthesiologists participate in stroke call coverage; however, there is no in-house call requirement.
• Cardiac cases, including CABG, valvular, and thoracic surgeries, are covered by a dedicated cardiac anesthesiologist. General anesthesiologists cover routine Cath Lab cases, including cardioversions, TEEs, pacemakers, AICDs, Watchman procedures, and cardiac ablations.
o Open to clinicians with CV but want to be transparent that we are not sure how many CV needs there will be so want clinician to be aware and open to working General as well.
• Ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia is encouraged for a variety of surgical cases. There are no labor epidurals due to the absence of obstetric services. For postoperative pain management, TAP or ESP blocks are preferred over epidurals.
