Our client, a leading healthcare institution committed to delivering high-quality patient care and fostering medical excellence, is hiring a Gastroenterologist. This respected medical center offers a dynamic, collaborative environment within an integrated health network, located on Long Island. In this pivotal role, you will join an experienced team of gastroenterologists in a busy outpatient setting, focusing on general gastroenterology. The position provides a balanced workload with an emphasis on clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and opportunities for professional development through teaching, research, and leadership within the academic community. This role ensures a rewarding practice environment with community engagement and work-life balance at its core.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient gastroenterology services in a well-established clinic setting.
  • Collaborate with a multi-specialty team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Manage a manageable call rotation of 1:3, with streamlined internal referrals within a fully integrated healthcare system.
  • Engage in academic activities, including teaching and research, with potential for an academic appointment.
  • Uphold the highest standards of patient safety and quality, contributing to the hospital’s recognition as one of America’s safest hospitals.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 1:3 call rotation.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
  • Eligibility for or current licensure in New York State.
  • Strong clinical skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
