  • Other details: The facility which is stroke-certified and trauma level 3 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. Seeking 4–6 locum anesthesia providers who can commit to a minimum of five shifts per month with availability for nights, weekends, and the last week of each month, and who are willing to work all shift types as part of a shared, team-based schedule. Providers will rotate through weekday day shifts starting at 7am for 8–12 hours, weekday evening shifts from 3pm–11pm, weekday night shifts from 7pm–7am with second call from 7pm–11pm and first call after 11pm, as well as weekend day, night, and 24-hour call rotations, all on a beeper-call basis with weekend call covered remotely. Guaranteed hours are 8 per shift, with overtime applying after 12 hours and requiring prior medical director approval by the end of the shift. Night and weekend assignments will begin only after providers complete initial day-shift orientation with the team, and candidates must be flexible, collaborative, and willing to participate in the full rotation to ensure balanced coverage across all shifts.

Job Responsibilities

* Provide anesthesia coverage across day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
* Deliver safe anesthesia care for scheduled and emergent procedures.
* Participate in beeper call coverage, including remote weekend call.
* Collaborate with anesthesia team members to ensure balanced shift coverage.
* Follow clinical protocols, safety standards, and hospital policies.
* Document anesthesia care accurately and timely in the EMR.
* Communicate effectively with surgical, nursing, and perioperative teams.

Qualifications

* MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
* Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Anesthesiology.
* Active, unrestricted medical license.
* Ability to work nights, weekends, and rotating shifts.
* Availability for a minimum of five shifts per month.
* Willingness to complete initial day-shift orientation before night rotations.
* Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges.

Working Hours

* Weekday day shifts starting at 7am, 8–12 hours in rotation.
* Weekday evening shifts: 3pm–11pm.
* Weekday night shifts: 7pm–7am with call rotation structure.
* Weekend day shifts: 7am–7pm.
* Weekend 24-hour call rotations on a beeper-call basis.
* Remote call coverage on weekends.
* Guaranteed 8 hours per shift.
* Overtime applies after 12 hours with prior approval.
