Locum / Locum-to-Perm Anesthesiologist – Hospital-Based (Galloway, NJ)
A hospital-based anesthesia program is seeking an Anesthesiologist for locum or locum-to-permanent coverage while recruiting for a full-time provider. Coverage is needed from March 1 through July 31, with flexibility for 8- or 12-hour shifts beginning at 7:00 AM, and includes weekend and night call responsibilities.

Broad surgical case mix with high-acuity exposure

Supervision of CRNAs required
Schedule & Coverage

Coverage dates: March 1 – July 31

Shift options: 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, starting at 7:00 AM

Schedule varies based on surgical volume and hospital needs

Includes weekday coverage, night call, and weekend call

Call schedule and ratio to be determined
Clinical Responsibilities
-
Anesthesia care for adult general surgical cases
-
Cardiac anesthesia, including open heart cases
-
Thoracic anesthesia (non–open heart)
-
Complex vascular cases (non–open heart)
-
Regional techniques including spinal, plexus, IV regional, and local infiltration
-
Ventilation management
-
Invasive monitoring and line placement, including:
-
TEE
-
Pulmonary artery catheter
-
Arterial line
-
Central line
-
Candidate Requirements
-
Board Certified in Anesthesiology
-
Active New Jersey medical license (must be in hand; no pending licenses)

ACLS and BLS certifications required
-
Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac, thoracic, and complex vascular anesthesia

Experience supervising CRNAs
-
Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesia preferred

Cerner EMR experience preferred
Credentialing & Travel

Estimated credentialing timeframe: 45–60 days
-
Travel support available per facility policy (hotel, flight, rental car, mileage)
