Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Anesthesiologist to join a high-performing anesthesia team in a hospital setting. This locum opportunity offers a consistent daytime schedule with no call requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in directing and coordinating activities within the Anesthesia Department
- Provide medical management for patients undergoing surgical and other medical procedures
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and obtain/verifies patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and associated risks with patients
- Administer induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitor patients’ physiological conditions throughout procedures
- Perform clinical interventions as needed
Case Types:
General, Orthopedic, Obstetrics
Team Structure:
- MDs supervise CRNAs
- CRNA to MD ratio: 2:1
- MDs also perform their own cases
- 20 anesthesia rooms onsite
Requirements:
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- Completion of an approved residency in Anesthesiology
- ECFMG and FLEX certification
- Active Illinois medical license (required at time of submission)
- Familiarity with iPro and Epic charting systems
Additional Information:
- No in-house or pager call required
- Overtime is not expected but may be offered
