We are seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to provide locum services in Putnam, Connecticut.
This is an excellent opportunity for an anesthesiologist looking for weekday coverage with call responsibilities in a hospital-based setting. Coverage begins March 2026 and is ongoing.
🏥 Job Details:
Case Types: General, orthopedics, obstetrics, colorectal, cataracts, cystoscopy, ENT, gynecology, podiatry, thoracic, GI, pacemakers, TEE, cardioversion
Special Procedures: Standard anesthesia care including regional techniques and perioperative management
Excluded Cases: None specified; broad case mix required
Setting: Acute care community hospital
Schedule: Day shifts (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM); weekday and weekend pager call required (6–10 call shifts per month)
Support: Physicians supervise CRNAs (ratio 3:4); MDs also perform their own cases
EMR System: iPro
Facility Details: 5 anesthesia rooms; small community hospital with a collegial, supportive team environment
✅ Requirements:
Board Certification in Anesthesiology required
Active Connecticut medical license required (open to licensing if not yet obtained)
DEA required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum experience: 2 years preferred
📋 Credentialing:
Estimated timeframe: 30–60 days with CT license in hand; 60–120 days if licensing needed
Skills checklist and interview availability must be submitted with application
