Locums Anesthesiologist - Eureka, CA - Ongoing Long-Term Position up to 340 hourly.

Aya Locums is seeking 2 board-certified Anesthesiologists to provide locum services at a Level 3 Trauma Center in Eureka, California. This is an excellent opportunity for an Anesthesiologist comfortable with comprehensive anesthesia practice including trauma, pediatrics, and complex cases. Coverage is needed starting April 1, 2026, and ongoing. Candidates must be available for all shift types including nights and weekends.

Job Details:

• Case Types: General, Adult, Pediatric, Trauma, Spinal, Epidural, Regional, Obstetrical, Neurosurgical, Thoracic, Complex Vascular, Complex Orthopedic
• Setting: Inpatient Acute Care Hospital, Level 3 Trauma Center
• Schedule: Minimum 5 shifts per month with weekend and end-of-month availability required. Must be willing to work nights and weekends. Providers share shifts collaboratively.
• Shift Types:
  • Weekday: 7am start, 8-12 hour rotations
  • Weekday Evening: 3pm-11pm
  • Weekday Night: 7pm-7am (2nd call 7pm-11pm, 1st call after 11pm)
  • Weekend Day 1: 7am-7pm
  • Weekend Day 2: 7am-7am (24-hour call, 2nd call)
  • Weekend Night: 7am-7am (24-hour call, 3rd call 7am-7pm, 1st call 7pm-7am)
• Call Structure: Beeper call on weekdays, remote on weekends
• Training: New providers work day shifts with other physicians for several weeks before night rotations
• Support: Staff support provided
• Patient Population: Adult and pediatric
• EMR System: Epic
• Skills Required: Pain management techniques, post-op epidural, post-op extremity blocks, vent management, central line placement, arterial line placement

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Anesthesiology
• Active California Medical License (required, no IMLC)
• Minimum 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in anesthesiology
• Current case logs required upon presentation
• Must be willing to work all shift types (days, evenings, nights, weekends)
• Comfort with pediatric and trauma anesthesia
