We are seeking an Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens position in Asheville, NC, please see below for more information:
• Ongoing full-time coverage (6+ months) at a busy Level II/III/IV adult trauma center
• Care team model – primarily supervisory (1:3 or 1:4 with CRNAs), but can do own cases if desired
• No call required
• Shifts: 8s, 10s, or 12s (Monday–Friday, 4 weeks/month)
• High-volume practice: 3,500–4,000 general cases/month, 10–15 CV lines/day
• Case mix: Heavy OB, trauma, stroke, vascular, neuro/spine, ortho, urology, robotics, endo/GYN – very little peds, no cranies, no transplants, no hearts
• EMR: Cerner & AIMS

Job Responsibilities
• Perform peripheral nerve blocks and place lines as needed
• Cover a broad mix of adult cases including high-volume OB, trauma, neuro, vascular, and ortho
• Work flexible day shifts (8, 10, or 12 hours) with no call obligations
Qualifications
• Active North Carolina medical license (required at submission)
• Proficiency in peripheral nerve blocks
Working Hours
• Choice of 8-, 10-, or 12-hour day shifts
• No call, no weekends required
