Job description
Our client, a leading community health organization dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible primary care, is hiring a Family Medicine Physician. Join a mission-driven team at a well-established Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), serving diverse underserved populations across New York City and Mid-Hudson Valley. This role offers the opportunity to deliver comprehensive healthcare for patients from birth to 100 years of age, supporting community health and health equity initiatives through a patient-centered medical home model and integrated behavioral health services.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care to a diverse patient panel, including children and adults across all ages (0-100), in multiple clinical sites.
- Maintain an active medical practice with scheduled clinical sessions, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based, compassionate patient care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including NPs, PAs, RNs, LPNs, and support staff, to coordinate patient care.
- Document accurately and timely in the EPIC electronic health record system, ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, and clinical meetings.
- Engage in teaching and precepting residents, medical students, or other trainees when applicable.
- Uphold professionalism, ethical standards, and continuous professional development through CME activities.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD/DO) with current licensure in New York State.
- Family Medicine residency training; no internal medicine or urgent care physicians considered.
- Demonstrated clinical competence and sound medical judgment.
- Ability to provide patient-centered, culturally sensitive care across all age groups.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including at least one weekday night and one weekend day per month in Mid-Hudson locations.
- Commitment to regulatory compliance, documentation standards, and ongoing professional development.
