  • Other Details: The practice includes general anesthesia with cases in OB, vascular surgery (including major vascular and AAA repair), cardiac cath lab, trauma, occasional NORA, basic regional anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks, healthy pediatrics as young as 6 months (primarily pediatric ENT with occasional urology and orthopedic cases at an average of 0–2 per day), and occasional OB coverage with labor epidurals and C-sections typically 1–2 times per week (not exceeding 4–5). The role requires the anesthesiologist to perform all listed case types from Day 1 without exception and sign an attestation confirming competency. No CRNA supervision is required. Providers must have more than 2 years of experience, ACLS and BLS (AHA issued), required flu and COVID vaccination or approved exemption, as well as manage order entry. Mandatory specialty skills include adult and pediatric general anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, orthopedic, vascular, spine, obstetrics, and thoracic cases, while cardiac anesthesia, line placements, advanced ventilation management, fluoroscopy-guided and epidural steroid blocks, post-op blocks, and CRNA supervision are not applicable. A minimum of 10–12 weeks of 2026 availability (15 weeks preferred given frequent schedule changes) is needed for credentialing, and the provider must also attend an in-person orientation on a business day within two weeks prior to the start date.

Job Responsibilities

* Provide general anesthesia for adult and pediatric patients (down to 6 months old)
* Perform cases including OB (labor epidurals and C-sections), vascular and interventional vascular procedures (including AAA repair), cardiac cath lab, trauma, orthopedic, spine, and thoracic anesthesia
* Perform regional anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks
* Manage occasional NORA cases
* Complete order entry and document hours in the Vemsta platform
* Perform all required case types independently from Day 1 and sign required attestation form
* Attend in-person orientation prior to start date

Qualifications

* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
* Minimum of 2+ years of experience
* ACLS and BLS (AHA issued)
* Flu and COVID vaccination required (or approved medical/religious exemption)
* Must be able to perform adult and pediatric anesthesia independently
* Comfortable performing OB, trauma, vascular, orthopedic, spine, and thoracic cases

Working Hours

* Minimum of 10–12 weeks of availability in 2026 required (15+ weeks preferred)
* Orientation must be completed in person on a business day within 2 weeks prior to start date
* OB call for labor epidurals and/or C-sections approximately 1–2 times weekly (not exceeding 4–5 times per week)
* Pediatric cases average 0–2 per day
