Job Details

- Schedule: 8am-5pm (Monday, Wednesday, Friday); 10am-7pm (Tuesday, Thursday)
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide primary vision care to patients of all ages
- Manage acute and long-term vision care cases
- Perform comprehensive visual examinations
- Review and update patient charts and records
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
- Identify and assess vision issues
- Formulate and plan patient prognosis
- Consult with other health professionals and make referrals as needed
- Prepare comprehensive care plans
- Educate patients on vision health
- Record findings and updates in EMR
- Ensure continuity of care and advise on home care between visits
- Provide telephone consultation or triage as needed
Additional Information
- Indiana Optometry license required
- Board certification in Optometry required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications required
- Experience with EMR (other systems)
- Must be comfortable seeing patients of all ages
