About the Position


Job Title: General Anesthesiologist

Location: Michigan
Facility Type: State-of-the-art Level 2 Trauma Center
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Start Date: ASAP upon credentialing

Position Overview:

Join a professional and collaborative anesthesia team at a modern facility with a full range of surgical services. This role offers the opportunity to perform both supervision and direct anesthesia care in a supportive care-team model. The group prioritizes quality, efficiency, and enhanced recovery, with a strong focus on regional techniques and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Practice Details:

Facility includes:
20 ORs
5 Heart & Vascular rooms
6 Endoscopy rooms
2 C-section suites

FTE: ~2200 hrs/year including call (day/evening/overnight/weekends/holidays)

Call and holidays are rotated equitably among the group to support work-life flexibility

Accepting new graduate anesthesiologists

Retirement:

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Provide anesthesia for general and complex cases including:
Orthopedic (elective & trauma)
ENT, Gynecology, Vascular, Neurosurgery
Cardiothoracic (full scope)
Interventional Cardiology (EP, structural heart)
Obstetrics (including epidurals and C-sections)
Endoscopy and radiology support
Supervise CRNAs and perform hands-on anesthesia
Perform or learn regional techniques such as:
Popliteal, saphenous, adductor canal, TAP, brachial plexus, erector spinae blocks
Participate in OR efficiency and quality improvement projects
Involved in Surgical Optimization Service (pre-op patient assessments)

Qualifications

Requirements

(Required at name clear unless otherwise noted)
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
(Must achieve BC within 2 years)
Active MI license or willing to obtain
DEA – active or willing to obtain
BLS & ACLS – active or willing to obtain
Must specify interest in full-time or part-time work
Must not have applied directly to the facility

Schedule Overview:

Shifts: Variable (day, evening, overnight)
Call & Weekend Requirements: Shared equitably within group
FTE: 1.0 = 2200 hrs annually (including call and holidays)
