JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Physician – Anesthesiology
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Cooperstown, NY
• Service Setting: Hospital
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only
• Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM start; 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts possible
COVERAGE DATES
• Start: October 20, 2025
• End: Ongoing
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adults, Healthy Pediatrics
• Patient Volume/Census: Average caseload ~10; higher volume on GI endoscopy days (~20–35 cases)
• Admissions: No
• Case Mix: General, orthopedic, urology, plastics, neurosurgery, gynecology, healthy pediatrics; no cardiac. Most cases ASA 2–3.
FACILITY INFORMATION
• Trauma Level: Level 3
• EMR System: EPIC
• Office Equipment Available: Standard anesthesia equipment
• Specialty Backup Available: Other anesthesiologists
• Support Staff Available: CRNAs
• Reason for Coverage: Coverage need

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Credentialing Timeline: 120 days / ASAP

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Provide anesthesia care for listed case mix
• CRNA supervision (2–3 CRNAs; rarely 4 for short duration)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active New York State medical license
• Board: Board Certified
• Experience: Anesthesiology experience required
• Other Qualifications: Ability to supervise CRNAs
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide anesthesia for a variety of surgical specialties
• Supervise CRNAs (2–3 per shift; rarely 4)
• Manage anesthesia for higher GI endoscopy volumes when applicable
• Collaborate with anesthesiology team for departmental coverage
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation
