Position Overview
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with an experienced team of liver transplant surgeons, hepatologists, and intensivists, providing comprehensive anesthetic care to liver transplant recipients and living donors. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, team-oriented, and motivated by complex cases and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Administer and manage anesthesia for liver transplant procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes

Provide comprehensive preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative anesthetic care for transplant recipients and living donors

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary transplant team to develop individualized anesthetic care plans

Manage high-acuity cases involving patients with significant comorbidities

Perform invasive monitoring, advanced airway management, and specialized anesthetic techniques

Participate in transplant team rounds and contribute to clinical decision-making

Educate and mentor anesthesiology residents and fellows

Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and transplant program development
Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (ABA or equivalent)

Fellowship training in liver transplant anesthesia or significant experience managing liver transplant anesthesia cases (preferred)

Demonstrated expertise in complex, high-risk anesthesia cases

Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
