Western NC – Anesthesia Locum Position
Start Date: December 1, 2025
Duration: 6 months with option to extend
Location: Hospital setting
Schedule & Coverage

Location: Hospital setting
Schedule & Coverage
- Scheduled shifts, no call required
- Monday–Friday, shift lengths 8s, 10s, and 12s
- Occasional weekend coverage (optional)
- Average CV cases per day: 10–15
- Average general cases per month: 3,500–4,000
- Busy OB, trauma, designated stroke center, vascular, neuro, urology, orthopedics
- Must be able to perform peripheral nerve blocks
- Special Procedures: General, Ortho, Endo, Urology, GYN, Robotics, Neuro/Spine, very limited Peds
- No craniotomies or transplants; dedicated teams for trauma and cardiac, with some potential vascular cases
- Care Team Model: Typically 1 MD supervising 3–4 CRNAs
- Anesthesia tech support available
- EMR: Cerner and AIMS
- MDs may choose to work their own cases if preferred
- Travel and lodging covered
- Active North Carolina medical license (required)
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology
