We’re staffing a locum anesthesiologist opportunity in Eureka, CA, starting November 1, 2025, offering $325–$340/hr, plus call pay, overtime, and holiday differentials. This is a full-scope position with flexible weekday shifts and a strong need for night and weekend coverage. See full details below:
📍 Location: Eureka, CA
🏥 Facility: Providence St. Joseph Hospital – Eureka
🗓️ Start Date: November 1, 2025
📅 Contract Length: 13+ weeks, ongoing
⏳ Credentialing Timeframe: 90–120 days
💰 Pay Rate: $325–$340/hr
🕐 Schedule Overview:
• Primarily nights & weekends required, but day shifts also available
• You’ll start with day shifts for a few weeks before being scheduled on nights
• Shift lengths vary: 8–12 hours on weekdays; longest: 7a–7p / shortest: 3p–11p
• Call is beeper call, weekends are remote
• Weekend schedule includes:
– Day 1: 7a–7p (12hr guarantee)
– Day 2: 7a–7a (24hr call – second call)
– Night: 7a–7a (24hr call – third during day, first at night)
📆 Confirmed Coverage Dates:
• Nov: 1–14, 17–21, 24–26, 28
• Dec: 1–5, 8–12, 15–18, 22–24, 27–28
🛠️ Procedures & Case Types:
• General, OB, peds, trauma
• Spinal, epidural, regional blocks
• Neurosurgical, thoracic, complex ortho, complex vascular
• Pain management
• Post-op epidural/extremity blocks
• Central and arterial lines
• Vent management
• Patient population: adult & pediatric
• Trauma Level: III
• EMR: Epic
✅ Requirements:
• Board Certified Anesthesiologist
• Active CA license required
• Recent case logs and 2 years of recent hospital experience
• No unexplained gaps >3 months
• COVID vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
