Opportunity for Physician - Anesthesiologist in Jackson, MI

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide 8–12 weeks of service in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), including home call coverage.
• Oversee a growing team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) managing complex post-operative patients.
• Deliver comprehensive anesthesia services during non-ICU weeks, including General operating room coverage, Obstetric anesthesia, and healthy pediatric cases.
• Share OR call duties proportionally based on ICU coverage.
• Participate in clinical decision-making, protocol development, and care coordination.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring opportunities with residents and APPs.
• Utilize Epic EMR for seamless and integrated patient documentation.
• Join a collaborative department focused on clinical excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Fellowship trained in Critical Care Medicine required.
• Clean malpractice and license history.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Michigan medical license (or willingness to obtain).
• BLS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date).
• ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date).
• PALS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date).
• DEA and CSR/CDS (must be obtained prior to start).
• Current COVID and flu vaccinations.
