Job Title: Anesthesiologist - Gastroenterology Procedures
Job type: Full Time (Contract to Hire)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM
Position Overview:
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologist to join our outpatient gastroenterology team. The primary responsibility will be to administer anesthesia for upper and lower endoscopic procedures in a high-efficiency, patient-centered setting.
This is an excellent opportunity for an anesthesiologist seeking predictable daytime hours, no nights or weekends, and a collaborative clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide anesthesia services for routine upper and lower GI endoscopies (e.g., colonoscopy, EGD).
Perform pre-operative evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
Monitor patients throughout procedures and during recovery.
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and effective sedation.
Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists, nurses, and clinical staff.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Qualifications:
MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
Active and unrestricted state medical license.
Current BLS and ACLS certification.
Prior experience in outpatient GI anesthesia preferred but not required.
