Pay: $470/hour

Exciting Locum Opportunity for Anesthesiologists Starting Fall 2025!
Join a busy, well-supported anesthesia team in Waterloo, IA! We're looking to add 1-2 full-time locum anesthesiologists starting late September/early October 2025. Flexible schedules considered—ideal candidates can commit full time or 2 weeks per month.
🗓 Schedule:
-
Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
-
Weekends: Call only (1st, 2nd, 3rd call rotation; 1st call called in ~75% of the time)

Night call every 3–4 days (7 days/week)
-
No clinic duties
🏥 About the Role:
-
Supervise and monitor anesthesia care before and during surgery
-
OB anesthesia including TOLAC
-
Pediatric cases mainly tonsils & adenoids
-
Group: 6 physicians + 2 CRNAs
-
13 OR rooms
-
Daily volume: 30–50 cases department-wide
-
EMR: Epic
-
Procedures: General anesthesia with OB and healthy pediatric patients; no hearts or neurosurgery
-
Conscious sedation required
📋 Requirements:

Bard Certified
-
Active IA license or IMLC
-
ACLS, COVID vaccine, and clean malpractice required
-
Must be available at least 2 weeks/month

Call coverage required
