Locum Anesthesia – $390–$598/hr | OB + Light Peds | Iowa

We are seeking 1–2 Board-Certified Anesthesiologists to join a well-supported hospital-based group in Waterloo, Iowa for a high-paying locum tenens assignment beginning in late September or early October 2025.

📅 Schedule & Coverage

• Start: Late September or early October (must be able to start by then)

• Duration: Ongoing

• Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM

• Night Call: Every 3–4 days (1st, 2nd, 3rd call structure)

• Weekend Call: Rotating, not fixed (1st call activated ~75% of time)

• Minimum Availability: 2 weeks per month accepted

• No clinic responsibilities

🛠️ Scope of Practice

• General Anesthesia (including OB with TOLAC)

• Light Peds (mainly tonsils/adenoids)

• Conscious sedation required

• No hearts or neurosurgery

• EMR: Epic (live as of May 2025)

• Support Staff: 6 physicians, 2 CRNAs

• OR Volume: 30–50 cases/day department-wide across 13 ORs

💰 Compensation

• Weekday hourly: $390/hr

• Night call: $598/hr

• 24hr call: $2,660/day (includes 4 gratis hours)

• All travel, lodging, and malpractice covered

✅ Requirements

• Board Certified in Anesthesiology (BE not accepted)

• Active Iowa license or IMLC with LOQ in hand

• ACLS (can be completed during credentialing)

• Fully COVID vaccinated

• Clean malpractice history – required
