A well-supported community hospital in northeastern Connecticut is seeking a Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist to join their dedicated team. - Duration: 13 weeks or longer
- Licensing: CT license required (will wait for license if needed)
- Credentialing: 30–60 days (if licensed), 60–120 days (if new license needed)

Job Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia for a wide range of surgical cases, including:
- General, Ortho, OB, Colorectal, GYN, ENT, Cataracts, Podiatry, GI, Thoracic, Pacemakers, Cardioversion, TEE
- Participate in a rotating call schedule (6–10 shifts/month)
- Supervise CRNAs (3:4 MD-to-CRNA ratio) and perform own cases
- Use iPro and paper charting systems
- Be available for pager/beeper call (no in-house call)
- Support patient care from 7:00 AM–3:00 PM during regular weekday shifts
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Active CT license (or willing to obtain)
- Comfortable with a full spectrum of anesthesia services
- Willingness to participate in required call shifts
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
- Call: Pager call required (6–10 calls/month including weekends)
- Overtime expected
Skills
- Strong clinical and procedural skills across a wide surgical case mix
- Team collaboration with CRNAs and surgical staff
- Effective communication and patient care documentation
- Experience with both paper and digital charting systems
