Job Title: Permanent Physician - Anesthesiology - Cardiac
Practice Summary:
Join a well-established and reputable practice in Albany, New York, known for delivering compassionate care for over forty years. The Anesthesia Group of Albany, PC is the largest anesthesia group in the Albany-Troy-Saratoga region. We are currently seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologists to support our growing team with the addition of new cardiac surgeons. Our high-volume inpatient heart center boasts state-of-the-art facilities with 30 operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia care for patients undergoing cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG and valve replacements.
- Cover cases across St. Peter's Hospital and Samaritan Hospital campuses in Albany and Troy.
- Participate in pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care of cardiac patients.
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, nurses, and healthcare professionals for optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of anesthesia protocols and practices.
- Provide general and regional anesthesia for a variety of procedures including orthopedic and cosmetic surgeries.
- Maintain strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a commitment to compassionate patient care.
- Be available for on-call duties with a rotation of 1:5.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesia.
- ECHO Board Certified and/or completion of a Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship.
- NY State License (or willingness to obtain).
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (must be obtained by the time of hire).
- Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship training is highly preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Eligible (within 5 years) or Board Certified in Anesthesia - Required
- ECHO Board Certified and/or Cardiac Fellowship-Trained - Required
- Current New York License (or willingness to obtain) - Required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS (by time of start) - Required
