Job Opportunity: Cardiac Anesthesiologist in Albany, NY

Join a leading healthcare provider in Albany, New York, where you will practice as a Cardiac Anesthesiologist within a well-established private practice. This reputable practice has been delivering compassionate care for over forty years and is well-regarded in the Albany-Troy-Saratoga region.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide anesthesia care for patients undergoing cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, and other complex cardiac surgeries.
• Collaborate closely with a team of cardiac surgeons, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care of cardiac patients.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of anesthesia protocols and practices.
• Cover cases at St. Peter's Hospital and Samaritan Hospital campuses as required.
• Handle high-volume inpatient heart center cases with an average of 6-8 cardiac surgeries daily.
• Work in a practice setting with 30 operating rooms on a variable schedule of 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts.
• Participate in a call rotation of 1:5, with first call every eighth night.

Qualifications:

• Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Anesthesia.
• ECHO Board Certified and/or Cardiac Fellowship-Trained.
• Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship-Trained is highly preferred.
• New York State License (or willingness to obtain).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certification by start date.
• Ability to work with H-1B visa candidates preferred; not accepting J-1 waivers.

License and Certification Requirements:

• New York State Medical License.
• ECHO Board Certification and/or completion of a Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required prior to start.
