Allina Health is a nonprofit, multi-state health system that serves 12 hospital campuses, over 60 outpatient clinics, and over 100 specialty sites across communities of Minnesota and Wisconsin. They are recruiting a Chief/Director of Anesthesia who will ensure the quality, safety, and optimization of anesthesia care within the hospital system and surgery centers. The role requires strong collaboration with hospital, institute, and service line leaders, as well as both independent and employed anesthesia providers.
The role will be performed across multiple hospital and surgery center locations, requiring occasional travel within the system.
Highlights & Role Responsibilities Include:
o Flexible Admin/Clinical split - at least some clinical service preferred
o Develop and implement strategies for maintaining and improving the quality of anesthesia care throughout the organization in both the acute care settings and surgery centers
o Oversee and standardize anesthesiologist and CRNA practices across the organization ensuring adherence to the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance. In collaboration with the VPMAs, DOMAs, and other senior leadership, strategize and drive process improvements focused on innovative care delivery and/or operational models designed to improve clinical services, outcomes and patient safety
o Serve as a liaison between anesthesia providers (both independent and employed) and hospital leadership to align goals and optimize perioperative processes; establish and maintain strong relationships between clinical teams, ensuring seamless coordination of care across the system
o Lead or contribute to committees related to anesthesia services, patient safety, and clinical operations within the organization
Expected compensation range of $650,000 - $800,000 (commensurate with experience)
