The Department of Anesthesiology at LSU is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Anesthesiologist for an academic faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor (non-tenure, clinical track). Job Responsibilities
· Supervise and teach anesthesiology residents and medical students in both clinical settings and academic conferences.
· Participate in educational activities, including lectures, and curriculum development.
· Engage in research activities with support for academic development, including clinical trials, research, or basic projects.
· Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and evidence-based practice protocols.
· Share in call responsibilities, working closely with a collaborative team of faculty and residents.
Qualifications
· Board certification or board eligibility (or equivalent) in Anesthesiology.
· Licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana before start date.
· Demonstrated commitment to academic anesthesiology, including excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research.
· Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Skills
· Experience in curriculum development, academic leadership, or quality improvement initiatives.
