A community hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.
Must-see attractions while on assignment in Central Pennsylvania include Gettysburg National Military Park, Sweet Treat Stral, and Hershey's Chocolate World!
The position requires an active (PA) license and Board Certification or eligibility within 5 years. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM or until cases are completed, typically lasting 8-10 hours per day. Call duties are limited, with approximately one beeper call per week, and CRNAs take the first call with the MD as backup. The types of cases include general bread and butter, light obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) coverage, plastics, endoscopy, otolaryngology (ENT) with pediatric cases, urology, and orthopedics. Epidurals are placed by both MDs and CRNAs.
