Job Details:
Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days on average
Types of Cases: Cardiac, General Surgical Cases (adult), General Surgical Cases (pediatric), Minor Nerve Blocks, IV Regional Anesthesia, Plexus Anesthesia, Open Heart Anesthesia, Thoracic Cases, Complex Vascular Cases, Complex Ortho, Spinal, Epidural, Regional, Ventilation Management, and local Infiltration.
Pain Management: Acute
# of Cases per Shift: 13
Level II trauma center
EMR: Cerner PowerChart
Patient age demographic: Mostly adult/geriatric - no complicated adolescent or child procedures.
# of ORs: 12

Job Responsibilities
Will the Locum Tenens Physician be Responsible for Preparing the Anesthesia Cart? No
Evaluation and Management of Acute Volume / BP Issues required
Insertion of Central line, Arterial line, and PA catheter
Qualifications
Active DEA
BC/BE
TEE Certification preferred
Updated CV with mm/yyyy format
Clean malpractice/background history
*Must have strong Cardiac experience and must be willing to perform heart cases.*
Covid 19 vaccinated
Must have a minimum of two weeks of availability to be considered for this role. Ideally, candidate would prefer candidates with full-time availability.
Working Hours
Mon-Fri 6a - 3p with occasionally weekday call from 3p - 6a. Hours may vary depending on needs.
Call Details:
1st Call - Provider can go home once all the cases finish and will only come back in if a case adds or called for a central line.
2nd Call - Provider will usually stay late, tends to be back up if a non-cardiac MDA is 1st call.
