We are actively seeking two Full-Time Locum Tenens Anesthesia Physicians to contribute to our dynamic healthcare environment. The positions involve providing anesthesia services for a variety of surgical cases, with a focus on orthopedic and general surgery. On-call responsibilities are included with a ratio of 1:4.

Description of Work:

• Cover bread and butter surgical cases as the primary anesthesiologist
• Focus on orthopedic and general surgery cases
• On-call responsibilities include OB coverage
• Must be within 15 minutes for on-call assignments
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary OR team

Procedures:

• 4-5 cases per day, approximately
• All bread and butter surgery, no CT, neuro, or cranial cases
• Preferred procedures: OB/Gyn, orthopedic, general surgery, plastic surgery, vascular, colo-rectal surgery, ENT, GI, Urology

Practice Details:

• Approximately 15 MDs in the practice, including per diems
• Additional surgical staff: CRNAs (2 in the practice), Anesthesia techs, PAs, nurses, OR techs
• Additional support staff: Directors, Managers
• Joining a mid-sized group
• Rarely supervising a CRNA

Work Location:

• Level III Trauma Center with ACS
• EMR System: EPIC
• No clinic EMR, hospital and clinic share the same EMR

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Experience valued but not required over fellowship
• Clean professional file with no malpractice and no work gaps
• COVID vaccination required (exemptions on a case-by-case basis)
• MMR vaccination required
