Specialty: Cardiac Anesthesiologist
Start Date: June
Contract Length: 3 months
Shift Details/Schedule: Needing 3-4 weeks per month
Work Details:
• Amount of coverage needed per month: fulltime; minimum commitment is 3 weeks per month
• Number of patients:varies due to cases
• EMR: Epic
• Hospital Bed size: 419
• Skills required: CABG, Aortic valve replacement, Mitral valve replacement, Mitral valve repair, structural heart - Watchman, TAVR, mitral clip, ASD closure, lead extraction.
• Department Description: Cardiac MDs are covering call roughly 1:3. Mix of CV and General, but CV volume is quickly increasing; MDs do their OWN cases in CV, there is supervision for General cases. Two cardiovascular rooms, one daily for CV and thoracic, the other running TAVRS on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cardiologists run the TEE during procedures. Prefer providers who want to mix in General. If CV volume is low on any given day – General must not be refused. It’s 70% Cardiac/30% General.

• State license required: yes
• BC required
• Minimum experience required: applicant needs recent cardiac experience. No TEE certification or fellowship training needed.
Credentialing Timeframe: Will do temporary privileges. Normally it takes 60-90 days. MUST be clean file.
