A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.
Upstate New York is filled with beautiful sights to see like Niagara Falls, Watkins Glenn State Park, and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum!
The clinician will cover bread-and-butter surgical cases as the primary anesthesiologist. The highest volume is with ortho and GS cases. Call includes OB and is a must. The clinician must be within 15 minutes. The clinician will work as a collegial part of a multi-disciplinary OR team. There are 4-5 cases per day, roughly. The schedule is Monday - Friday from 7a-3:30p plus call. There will be no CT, neuro, or cranial. The preferred procedures include OB/GYN, ortho, general surgery, plastic surgery, vascular, colo-rectal surgery, ENT, GI, regional blocks, and urology. The EMR system is EPIC. The staff includes anesthesia techs, PAs, nurses, and OR techs. ACLS, MMR, and COVID vaccines are required.
