Locum – Normal, Illinois, Anesthesiology Openings
Clinical Role:

    • ASAP – Ongoing Need
    • Typically, locum would work the day shifts of 7a-3p, 7a-5p or 6:30a-4:30p, but occasionally may be asked to work evening/night shift of 3p-10p
    • Locum must be able to attend an onsite orientation on a weekday prior to first assignment (times TBD, possibly on the same day as first shift), which would include administrative paperwork and EPIC training
    • 95% Adult Patients
    • 30 Cases Per Day
    • 4 Anesthesia Techs
    • Work and Call Schedule
      • No First Call
      • Weekday charge physician (this is the preferred shift for locums, either 0700-1500 or 0700-1700 or 0630-1630)
      • Weekday evening position from 1500 to 2200
      • Evening position becomes 2nd call
    • Weekend Shift
      • Shift work from 700 to 1700
      • Becomes 2nd call from 1700 to 700
      • Rotates every 5th weekend
    • Staff/Heart physician will cover during weekdays; locum needed with heart experience on weekends
    • Procedures Required: General, spinal, epidural, regional blocks, MAC, blood patches, ART line, central line. Hearts Required
    • Number of Beds: 200
    • Licensure Requirements: MD or DO
    • Level II Trauma Center
    • EMR: Epic
    • BC Anesthesiology - Highly Preferred
    • BE in Anesthesiology - Considered
    • IL License Active – Highly Preferred
    • IL DEA Active - Highly Preferred
    • IMLC LOQ - Considered
    • BLS (AHA) Certification - Required
