Adult and Pediatric Anesthesiologist

Contract Length: 6 months

Shift Details:

• Monday to Friday: 6:45 am to 5:00 pm
• Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
• Call varies weekly

Schedule:

• Work Details: Supervision of CRNAs, coverage required 7 days a week
• Patient Population/Age: 60% Adult, 30% Pediatric, 5% Neonatal (0-18 years old)
• Department Description: Supervision of CRNAs, documentation sign-off for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), 28 ORs
• EMR: EPIC
• Hospital Bed Size: 641

Special Procedures:

• Central line placement
• Arterial line placement
• Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues
• PA Catheter placement not required

Practice Setting: Hospital, Trauma Level 1

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Required
• State License: Required (South Carolina, Willing to License)
• DEA Registration: Yes
• CSR: Yes
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Minimum Experience: 2 years
• Credentialing Timeframe: 90-120 days

Additional Information:

• MD supervises CRNAs 100% of the time
• Support staff includes 2 NPs, 1 RN, and 40 CRNAs
• Hospital sees a patient mix of 60% adult, 30% pediatric, and 5% neonatal
• Special procedures include central and arterial line placements
• Experience in trauma Level 1 setting preferred
• Willingness to license in South Carolina
• Epic EMR system utilized
