Our client near Chicago Illinois is seeking a locum tenens anesthesiologist for an on-going assignment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a great income working 1 week per month or more! Our client would prefer two or more weeks per month but are flexible. You will need to be able to provide a full week of coverage for the weeks you choose to work.
Requirements:
- MD or DO, board certified in Anesthesiology or truly board eligible (within 2 years of residency completion).
- Active Illinois license or IMLC
- BLS
Schedule:
- M-F 7a - 3p (4 10-hour shifts will be considered)
- 1 week/month up to full-time.
- On-going (at least 6 months+)
- No call
- Pay Rate: $400/hour+
- Travel, housing, rental car paid
- Malpractice paid
Facility:
- 450 Beds
- Trauma Level 1
- EMR: EPIC
- Number of physicians in department: 13
- Number of CRNAs in department: 60+
Procedures/scope:
- Including but not limited to the standard general anesthesiologist scope of practice such as:
- Nerve blocks
- Epidurals
- Arterial Lines
- Central Lines
- Supervision of CRNAs with a typical ration of 1:4.
- Patient mix: adult and geriatric. There is a dedicated pediatric anesthesiologist on site.
- Average number of cases per day: 15
Local attractions/activities:
Theatre, professional and collegiate sports, hiking, biking, etc. Located 2 hours from Chicago

Qualifications
- Active Illinois License or verified active IMLC (you must have your Illinois license before being confirmed)
- Board Certified in Anesthesiology or board eligible within 2 years of residency completion
- BLS
- Proof of COVID vaccination
