**Medical Center Details**
- Two community, teaching hospitals that work together as one mini-system to collaboratively provide care to residents of Mercer and Lawrence counties in western PA.
- First Medical Center provides the higher acuity surgical services with 6 ORs, 2 Procedure Rooms and a 12-bed ICU as well as a full array of surgeons including orthopedics, urology, general, vascular, bariatrics, breast and robotics but excluding cardiothoracic, trauma, neurosurgery and OB/GYN.
- Both facilities share an ACGME-accredited, general surgery residency program.
- Second Medical Center is a smaller, lower acuity hospital with 6 ORs, a busy OB/GYN program (1,000 deliveries/yr) and a medical and radiation oncology service.
