Locums | Pediatric Anesthesiology | Dayton, OH (OH license) Why This Role

  • No call, weekday only (0700-1530 M-F)
  • Board eligible welcome
  • Multiple openings (3), extended FMLA coverage
  • ACS Level 1 pediatric trauma center
  • Full array of pediatric surgical subspecialties (no cardiac/cath/transplant)
Assignment Details Start/end: Coverage begins November — windows run 11/1/2026-2/28/2027 and 11/1/2026-4/30/2027, with possible coverage through October 2027 Schedule: 0700-1530 Monday-Friday; no call Coverage type: Hospital-based operating rooms Volume: 50-60 surgical cases/day; 14 ORs Setting: ACS Level 1 trauma center; neonatal to adult; 70,000 annual ER volume; all surgeries except cardiac, cath lab, and transplant — full array of neonatal, pediatric, neurosurgery, ortho, plastics, urology, dental, GI, radiology Support: 22 anesthesiologists; collegial team of RNs, surgical techs, PCAs, surgeons, proceduralists, APPs EMR: Not specified Credentialing: Timeframe not specified (fingerprinting required immediately after acceptance) Clinical Details Required scope: General surgical cases (neonatal, pediatric, adult), thoracic cases (except open heart), complex orthopedic cases, neurosurgical cases, ventilation management; pediatric anesthesia across all subspecialties except cardiac and transplant surgery Preferred scope: Arterial line insertion, acute volume/BP management Mix of practicing solo and supervising CRNAs in a care-team model Requirements Board certified or truly board eligible in Pediatric Anesthesiology Pediatric anesthesia fellowship required License: OH required (IMLC not accepted) BLS, ACLS, PALS Active DEA Compensation Rate negotiable, open to your number Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
